Bleed and Safety Space

- Safe Zone: All critical elements must be kept inside the blue box (text, images, graphic elements, logos) .

- Trimming Zone: Allow 0.125 in cutting tolerance on all sides of your design.

- Bleed Zone: Make the background images and colors extand all the way to the edge of the black line (0.125 in).

Bleed is when the artwork extends all the way past the pink trim line to the edge of the card.

Safety space is the area within the blue line where all the important elements and information should be to keep them from being accidentally cut off.

- Incorrect: Here the background colors do not extend all the way to the bleed area. This may result in white edges showing after cutting.

- Incorrect: You see here that text and graphics are outside the safe space. This will result in them being cut off.

- Correct: Here you will see the background color extends corrcetly to the bleed zone and all the vital information is within the safe space.
